Meet Lauren Baker
Lauren is a licensed speech-language pathologist (CCC-SLP) who has been working with children since 2018. Originally from Westchester, NY, she studied at James Madison University and earned her Master's in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alabama.
After practicing in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Lauren returned home to New York in 2024 to open Baker Speech Therapy. She specializes in play-based therapy, gestalt language processing, and supporting neurodivergent learners. She believes every child deserves to communicate in ways that feel natural and joyful.
Her favorite thing about working with kids? "Their imagination makes my imagination bigger. They see things so beautifully and explore so curiously without any hesitation."
