Questions parents ask
What ages do you see?
Children from 15 months through school age.
Do I need a diagnosis or a referral?
No. A few details about what you are noticing are enough to start.
What is a speech evaluation?
A visit where a speech-language pathologist plays and talks with your child to understand how they communicate, then explains what they saw and what could help.
How much does it cost?
Therapy starts at $165 per 30 minutes. Evaluations are $275 for speech or language only, $325 for speech and language, and $400 for AAC or apraxia.
Do you take insurance?
Cigna is in-network for NY care, including virtual. For other commercial plans, you can pay us directly and we will submit an out-of-network claim as a courtesy; reimbursement depends on your plan and is not guaranteed. We do not bill Medicaid directly.
How soon can my child be seen?
New families are usually seen within 2 weeks.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes, by secure video anywhere in New York State, when it is a good fit for your child.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is a parking lot at the clinic.
What if my child is shy or does not want to join?
That is very common. Sessions are play-based and go at your child's pace.
What is the difference between an evaluation here and a school IEE?
A clinic evaluation looks at your child's communication to guide support. A school IEE is an independent evaluation connected to your child's school process, with its own form and fee discussion. See /iee.
Do you work with late talkers? With apraxia? With gestalt language processors?
Yes. See our pages on early language, apraxia and gestalt language processing.
